Business Standard dtd 17/05/2013 puts the Indian fitness-wear marketplace at a whopping Rs 4000 crore growing at the charge per unit of measurement of 25% per annum. The marketplace is dominated yesteryear shoe category. The study says that the traditional audience for this marketplace is youth aged 15-35. Marketers opine that the segment straightaway includes older adults because of the increased awareness towards fitness. Global brands similar Nike, Reebok, Puma, Fila etc are vying for their part inward this market.
